The Salon d’Automne was created in 1903, in Paris, thanks to the goodwill of several artists fighting against a powerfull academicism that existed at that time. Over the last 100 years, its exhibitors have been witnesses of the emergence of the most important artistic movements of the century including : Fauvism, Surrealism, Cubism, Abstract art, New Figuration and Singular Art.
The exhibition of the Salon d’Automne is presented in sections, rigorously selected and organized for a better reading of the works. Besides the classifications by disciplines (Engraving, Sculpture, Drawing, Photography, Digital Art, Video, Architecture, Environmental Art, Artists’ Books), there are several sections for Painting, defined by their pictorial tendencies.

This show includes pieces by young and emerging artists – invited to join the RBA 200th Anniversary Exhibition at Mall Galleries – as well as established professional member artists. 200 works to be shown in this (2023) year’s RBA Exhibition, from over 4,000 submissions.
